As we prepare our hearts and our stomachs to receive the bountiful feast placed before us… please remember to say a prayer for all of those who couldn’t be with their loved ones this Holiday. This would include, but is not limited to: The Men and Women of our Armed Forces, those who may be doing mission work that takes them abroad, and any other person who is rendering services to others.
Please ask the Lord to continue to use them to do His divine will. Ask that He bless their families. And finally, give thanks and ask the Lord to keep you during the rest of this holiday season and into the next year.
“Father God, we come before you humbly submitting ourselves to give You Honor, Glory, and Praise. We are thankful for those that you called to serve so that we might be able to gather together on this day. We are thankful for all things that You have seen fit to place before us. We accept all things knowing that only You can make them all work together for Your greater good.
We confess our transgressions and forgive others who might have trespassed against us. We ask that you bless the assembling and gathering of our loved ones under the same roof to be on one mind and on one accord. We ask that You continue to draw us every closer to you.
And Father, as we part our separate ways never dismiss us from Your presence, giving us the blessings and safe journeys to meet again at the appointed time and at the appointed place… and we will be careful to give You all the Honor, all the Glory, and all the Praise…
We submit these our humble prayers in Jesus name,
Amen and Amen.”
I know Thanksgiving is an integral part of American culture. I hope one day to be there to experience it.
I would also like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
